opening expo: Rabbits and more..

Kazuma Eekman and Rosa Boute will exhibit their art at Café Zondag starting June 29. Kazuma was trained at the Willem de Kooning Academy and works as an illustrator in his studio in Rotterdam. He has had many different clients during his career, such as the Dutch newspapers NRC and De Volkskrant. He has made a selection of various artworks to exhibit at Café Zondag. For some of these paintings Maastricht has been a source of inspiration. Rosa Boute is a painting’s conservator in training at SRAL Maastricht and likes to paint in her spare time. As long as she can remember she loves rabbits. Since 2016 she started an Instagram page called @bunniesbyrosa where she posts paintings of bunnies and an occasional hare. These bunnies exist in real life and their owners contact Rosa for a personal commission, on Instagram you can reach the real bunnies since they are tagged. She has painted around 85 bunnies at the moment and tries to improve her painting techniques a bunny a time.
